Subject: [Noc-managers] Flood in Thailand
Dear all
I would like to inform that a flood caused serious damage to the Grid
infrastructure in Thailand. Site TH-NECTEC-LSR is currently in long term
down time until end of November.
In addition to this, NECTEC CA is affected. D. Group reports that
"the NECTEC CA is no longer able to serve its CRL from the usual
location. Worse, since the current CRL has just expired, it can also not
issue a new one to serve from there, since the server is out of action"
and
"We are working on getting a new CRL out-of-band and publishing it from
an alternate distribution point -- so that sites that use fetch-crl v3
can at least get new CRLs that way. Sites using a 2.x-series fetch-crl
would have to modify an existing file. However, lacking a fresh CRL,
this is not yet in place. And recovery of the NECTEC service itself is
not expected before the end of November."
D. Group reports that users with NECTEC certificate "will not be able to
authenticate and cannot access any service. That mainly impacts PRAGMA
and APGRID, not EGI"
We are investigating the impact of this. I will keep you informed in
case off news.
Please circulate this information to your local community.
Thanks Tiziana
