Safe and Secure: How do Refugees Experience Europe's Borders?
Modern Challenges to Protection and the 1951 Refugee Convention
Organised by the Jesuit Refugee Service Europe
8 December 2011, 10:00 - 13:00
Résidence Palace, "Passage" room,
155 rue de la Loi, 1040 Brussels (Metro: Schuman)
Amidst the debate on Europe's borders and access to refugee protection,
those who are the most affected are the least heard: the refugees
themselves. This half-day public conference is intended to provide them
with a space to be heard. Refugees who have come face-to-face with
Europe's closed borders will speak about their experiences, and provide
testimonies that underline the need for better refugee protection
standards.
Programme:

Bruxelles (conference chair)
