Would you allow me to add just one letter missing in the phrase quoted as
corrected in your latest post above? The letter missing is an "s" at the
end of the word "user". Indeed, there is no single user of any given
artefact. Therefore, I read the end of your phrase as follows: "...we
cannot do what we want without counting for the users anymore." And I
entirely agree, prior to embarking on any design project, Designers need
first to know what are the requirements of users of the artefact to be
designed. Requirements of the economic order, but also requirements of the
physical, psychological, sociological, environmental, etc. orders, all
rounded up under the expression: "artefact use requirements".
