Glad to oblige Sam. However, the grapevine tells me that currently in this
financial climate even the large corporate OH organisations are struggling
to gain tenders and contracts due to the domino effect cut backs has on
employment and health!
If we start to publish our costs and timescales through jisc, we will be
enticing cut throat competition!
Best plan would be to provide us with your private email address that we
don't fall out with our excellent and supportive colleagues.

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] OH Outsourcing
I am currently undertaking research into the benefits and pitfalls of
outsourcing OH health surveillance. Whilst I have access to in house OH
staff, I am struggling to draw a comparison to an outsource solution.
Whilst I understand that outsourcing this surveillance has certain benefits
from a corporate point of view, would anybody be able to provide me with
details of timescale and cost?
As part of my research, I am initially looking at the outsourcing involving
the paper screening of approximately 300 factory workers completed skin and
respiratory questionnaires followed by physical examination of those
identified. Hearing tests would be required for all of the factory
employees.
I would be really grateful if anybody knew of a rough timescale and cost.
Thanks
Sam
