As part of our new service model, introduced with RFID this summer, we have streamlined the functions that we used to carry out at the desks, and implemented information pods.
We need to retain the ability to carry out financial transactions, for lost books, fines or sales, and our traditional tills are proving to be quite bulky on our new, smaller pods.
I am looking for a solution which uses software to carry out transactions through the PC, and provides a trigger to open the cash drawer.
We hope to move to EPurse, but this is not ready for implementation just yet.
I would be grateful to hear from anyone who has moved away from a till towards another solution for financial transactions and I will be happy to summarize any responses for the list.
