Roll up, roll up for last few places remaining at this ** FREE ** event on the 23 November - the second in a series of four seminars outlining the work of the STEM SW Transition and Peer Assisted Learning projects.
We have an exciting line up of speakers.
* Dr Diane Nutt, who many will know through her involvement with the European First Year Experience movement, will provide the opening talk, giving a broader context to our day.
* Dr Ria Symonds of Nottingham University will explore the benefits of proactive transition support for non traditional mathematics students where the tutorial sessions are led by postgrad maths students
* Dr Makis Maliris of the University of the West of England will talk about the work he has been doing at UWE in planning, implementing and evaluating on-line PAL.
* Stephen Parton and Vicki Noade of Bournemouth University will talk about how PAL leader training takes place at BU.
* Chris Keenan, also of Bournemouth University will talk about the value of developmental pre-enrolment transition resources linked to enhanced induction experiences.

The attached free event at The University of the West of England on Wednesday 23rd November will focus on transition and support arrangements for WP cohorts, with a specific focus on Peer Assisted Learning in STEM. The principal speaker is Dr Diane Nutt, chair of the European First Year Experience Conference Organising Committee and Principal Lecturer Learning and Teaching and University Teaching Fellow at Teesside University.
