I think Computational Culture needs a long, hard look at its IPR policies
before its launch date. To summarise the current statement on its site:
(1) Authors retain copyright
(2) They may use any licence they wish (with an unspoken assumption
that the license permits Comp. Culture to publish their work)
(3) They need to seek the publisher's permission before reprinting
their work
I find it difficult reconcile these statements. Perhaps I need a good lawyer :)
(And yes, 'reprint' is the word they use. Not reproduce, nor disseminate, nor
any other more digital alternative.)
And I do realise, Gareth, that you're not responsible for this so I'll ensure
my comments also reach the editorial board.
