Apologies for cross-posting....
The Women and Geography Study Group invites proposals for sessions at the RGS-IBG Annual International Conference, University of Edinburgh, 3rd – 5th July 2012. For further information please see: www.rgs.org/ac2012
Conference theme: Security of Geography/Geography of Security.
We encourage session applications on themes that explore the gendered dimensions of 'the security of geography/the geography of security’, and other themes that relate to gender and geography. Sessions can take a variety of forms including presented papers, panels, practitioner forums, world cafes, discussions and workshops. Innovative sessions and formats will be especially supported.
Sessions are 1 hour 40 minutes long. Popular session formats include, for example, five 20-minute presentations (which includes time for questions) or four 20-minute presentations with discussion and questions at the end. All sessions will be reviewed and approved by the Conference Planning Committee. For more information on session formats please see: http://www.rgs.org/WhatsOn/ConferencesAndSeminars/Annual+International+Conference/Call+for+Sessions+and+Papers/Conference+session+formats.htm
We are keen to encourage postgraduates to submit session proposals and to foster links with other research groups through co-sponsoring sessions.
For further information about the conference and the timetable for submitting session and paper abstracts please see:
