Call for Papers: Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) Annual Conference, Edinburgh, 3-5 July 2012
Session: Interdisciplinary geographies
The security of geography as an academic discipline relies, in part, on its on-going relevance to the Academy at large. In this session, we explore the contribution that geographers make to disciplines outside their traditional academic boundaries. Geographers who can demonstrate collaborative partnerships with academics from other disciplines, and academics from alternate disciplines who have benefited from cross-disciplinary relationships with geographers, are invited to submit papers describing their inter-disciplinary research efforts.
Themes could include, but are not limited to:
• Geography and health care research
• Geography and the creative arts
• Geography and education
• Geography, architecture and design
• Geography and the biological sciences
Please send abstracts of no more than 300 words to Candice Boyd ([log in to unmask]) by 15 January 2015.
