Dear all
Thanks for all the suggestions. I didn't want to head off with a WP that was different to the rest of the schools. I like the keyboard emulator approach - definitely useful for IT lessons.

Hi there
Pages is ok, and provides more formatting options if it is word processing that you want to do - but it does take time to master.
If you are looking for more Notetaking focused apps then Notability works really well, is quite customisable, and you can import/export easily through Dropbox. It also has a good recording function which synchronises with the text input. You can export files as RTF or PDF.
Best wishes
Niall

Subject: ipad word processing
Dear all
I'm seeing a couple of students who seem to be able to use the touch screen keyboard on ipad better than a standard keyboard (& the windows slate). Is there any consensus in education about the best idevice app for word processing?
