As an applied mathematical / chemical scientist, you will use your expert knowledge to support the building of mechanistic models which can be used to predict complex physical and chemical interactions. You will provide the link between the R&D function and the external experts who will provide additional mathematical/IT support if required. Internal specialists are the users of the software based on the models developed.
You will use your extensive analytical skills and varied modelling techniques to extract actionable information from complex chemical and physical data sets to help to predict the outcome of experiments. You will liaise with project leaders and internal stakeholders to influence future research activities with mathematical modelling and gain commitment for mathematical modelling related research work within the business.
You will bring your enthusiasm and passion for technically challenging and innovative projects and will work with colleagues to provide support and training in mathematical modelling where necessary.
