Dear All,
We recently had a 10 day old child present with multisystem failure and a plasma ferritin of 150,000 ug/L repeated several times and gradually falling to 15,000 ug/L over a few days.
This has prompted the question “What is the upper limit of ferritin concentration due to inflammation?” Can anyone help?
Cheers,
Michael
