Hello All,
We are positively buzzing at the ESRC because the ESRC Festival of Social Science is only a couple of weeks away! Now in its ninth year, the Festival is a weeklong celebration of social science research, its outputs and impacts. The events and activities of the week bring social science to new audiences nationwide in an accessible way.
This year’s Festival is taking place up and down the country between 29 October and 5 November. The 2011 Festival has an even wider geographical reach, with our northernmost event taking place on the Isle of Raasay in the Outer Hebrides. There are a range of events for all types of audience, from young people to professionals. We are sure that some of our event organisers are also on PSCI comm, so you may also see notices of their events listed in the next few days. We hope you can find at least one event in your local area – and as all events are free it makes attending even easier!
A full programme and PDF flyer is available at www.esrcfestival.ac.uk, alternatively please contact me directly for hardcopies.
