Dr Anne Alexander is Co-ordinator of the Cambridge Digital Humanities
Network and will be presenting a case study on 'The challenges of
managing social media research data: a researcher's perspective' on day
one at the forthcoming DCC Roadshow Cambridge.

Roadshow.
The roadshow is being organised in conjunction with Cambridge Library
and is free. It will take place from 9th - 11th November 2011 in the
Paston Brown Room, Homerton Conference Centre, Cambridge, CB2 2PH.

The Roadshow runs over three days but it is not necessary for
participants to attend all the days in order to benefit.
Day One covers emerging trends and challenges associated with
research data management and their potential impact on higher education
institutions and will include present case studies illustrating
these issues.
Speakers will also explain the role of DCC, the portfolio
of tools and services and how to comply with policy requirements an
introduce the core principles for robust data management and
planning.
Confirmed speaker include Graham Pryor (DCC Associate Director),
Anne Alexander (Co-ordinator, Cambridge Digital Humanities Network) and

Day Two builds on this and will include practical group sessions,
including identifying first steps in developing an institutional
strategic plan for research data management support and service delivery.
Day Three of the roadshow will focus on training and the widely
praised Digital Curation 101 course, focusing on 'How to Manage Research
Data'.
