Dear Colleagues,
I just wondered whether any of you could provide me with any pointers towards recognised teaching qualifications appropriate to librarians working in the school or post compulsory sectors, a PGCE or MEd is not an current option. With ten years’ experience in the secondary sector, I have already attained the City and Guilds 7302. What I am really interested in are courses (unlike most of the City and Guilds) that develop ones pedagogical knowledge and experience but do not stipulate that a candidate has a set number or hours or set curriculum to follow. By the nature of my sector (16-19 school) I am delivering both one to one and small group reference work as well as lectures and seminars for the EPQ.
Many thanks in anticipation.
