Dear all,
I am preparing a research proposal for the AHRC to examine the experience of social media and independent learning by librarians and teachers operating in UK secondary schools. I’d like to examine both of these professional groups to assess the extent of collaboration between them in encouraging students to become independent learners.
My aim is to set up a network of teachers and librarians from which I can draw samples for an online survey and 1 to 1 interviews (these could be done face to face, by phone or by email depending on your availability). Pending on the successful outcome of my bid, I would expect the survey and interviews to run in the latter part of 2012. Rest assured that the investigation would adhere to the British Educational Research Association’s ethical guidelines, ensuring your anonymity during the stages of data collection, data analysis and the dissemination of the findings in academic journals and professional publications.
If you are interested in participating in this research please email me at [log in to unmask] by Friday 18th of November. Should you have further questions on the research before committing yourself please do not hesitate to contact me.
