As far as I know you should be fine with that configuration. At the CCPN
meeting in Portugal it was suggested that one way to avoid these X crashes
is to quit Analysis (e.g. every day). Someone there said that that had
resulted in a noticeable diminution of this problem. This suggests to me
that there is still a substantive memory leak (almost certainly in Tk) and
that X crashes when the free memory gets low. But that is a bit of a
hypothesis right now.
