I represent a group of researchers working on diet reconstruction using stable isotopes indicators. Novel experimental results have allowed to define a dietary mixing model. We are interested in using BUGS to estimate the dietary contribution of different food sources. Our model is very similar to existing ones (e.g. Parnell et al. 2010, http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0009672 ), however our experimental results have allowed us to take into account dietary routing.
We would like to enquire in this community on the possible interest of initiating a small research project to implement our model using BUGS. While we lack the necessary expertise in this type of mixing models and in the use of BUGS, we believe that this represent an accessible challenge for any statistician with BUGS and mixing models expertise.
To the community our thanks in advance,
Ricardo Fernandes (Leibniz-Laboratory for Radiometric Dating and Isotope Research)
