Applications are invited for an early-career medical
statistician/epidemiologist to work 17.5 hours per week on the Avon
Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children (ALSPAC)
(Ref: 16722). You will work on an MRC funded project to investigate the
ways in which environmental exposures to the parent and grandparent cross
the generations and influence the physical and cognitive development and
health of the child/grandchild.
You will conduct literature reviews, complete statistical analyses and
contribute to writing papers for journal publication. Analytical approaches
will include multivariable regression models and multiple imputation
techniques to deal with missing data. You will also have the opportunity to
present research findings at conferences.
The post would be ideally suited to someone with an MSc in epidemiology or
medical statistics though we would consider individuals with a related
postgraduate qualification containing a substantial statistical component.
