Title: Research Associate/ Fellow in Health Economics / Decision Modelling
Salary:
Grade 7 Research Associate £28,251 to £35,788 per annum
Grade 8 Research Fellow £36,862 to £44,016 per annum

Summary:
You will work within the Health Economics and Decision Science (HEDS)
Section undertaking health economics/decision modelling research and
consultancy on a range of applied policy and methodological research
funded through our research and consultancy programmes. The projects
involve designing and undertaking modelling based analyses for policy
and health technology appraisal for a wide range of decision makers. The
funders/customers include the National Institute for Health and Clinical
Excellence (NICE) through the ScHARR Technology Assessment Group, the
NICE Public Health Collaborating Centre, the Department of Health
through the Economic Evaluation Policy Research Unit (ECCPRU), and
individually funded research projects and pharmaceutical funded
consultancy projects.
In addition, for appointment as a Research Fellow (grade 8) you will be
expected to take a lead role in initiating and implementing a plan of
research and design proposals for research consultancy projects and
develop and win bids for research funding.
You should be qualified to postgraduate level in a numerate subject and
have experience of decision analytic modelling e.g. discrete event
simulation, state transition modelling.
You will also contribute to the Section's teaching responsibilities,
delivering lectures and tutorials and supervising students.
