Human Genome Archive Project Officer (Fixed-Term 2 Years)
Salary £36,000 (depending on experience, plus excellent benefits)

This is an exciting new role with a clear objective to preserve the historical record of the Human Genome Project and to make an important contribution to the archival heritage of modern science.
You will be responsible for designing and conducting a survey of the archival heritage associated with the Human Genome Project in the UK. After establishing the survey method, you will lead the project to capture, analyse and disseminate the survey data, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders and associated institutions.
To be successful you will have a postgraduate qualification in archive and records management or equivalent and be able to demonstrate:
* Excellent project management skills with experience managing complex relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Experience of working with contemporary and modern records or archives
* An understanding of archive survey methodologies
* Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels internally and externally
* A commitment to the vision of the project whilst having a flexible and innovative approach
