Interview on the today programme on radio 4 today
some bloke from a company which is going to spend millions putting a new
telecom cable under the sea to speed up data transfer
i think that was it
the interviewer couldnt see the point or affected not to be able to
and he asked _how log is a millisecond?_
long pause
and then the bloke said _one hundred thousandth of a second_
It isn't; but the interviewer didn't correct him.
Then the bloke said _that's five per cent of a second_ which is not true
of the answer given or the correct answer; but the interviewer didn't
correct him
So... a pair of onanists broadcasting their view of the world to the
world; tomorrow, could be an e coli bacterium speaks
i am sure it would be an upbeat message -- lots of opportunities for
growth as order and sanitation breaks down; but it seems likely that we
are doomed
oh yes and the bloke said it was really good because communicators would
pay the millions it would cost; but the interviewer did not think to say
_but as you are not producing anything, this is primarily inflationary_
nah
didnt say nothin apart from thank you
toodlepip
