Subject: disability experience in hospital
I am researching disability experience in hospital, including when a poatient for causes not rimarily related to the disability.
There is a small literature in the intellectual disability/learning disability (notably Mencap) area but little on disability more broadly.
The research interest stems from awareness of high vulnerability to further impairment, illness or death for people with disability in hospital settings.
This research project is connected to a reference group of disability advocacy rdepresentatives as an early commitment to acting on the research outcomes .
Any references, safeguarding projects in hospitals or articles in the informal domain, would be very welcome.
Thank you.
