I don't think that it's a problem for a research topic to discover
that what many cycle campaigners have been saying all along is broadly
right. It then demonstrates that... what cycle *campaigners* have been
saying all along is broadly right. This would have been a good thing,
were it not that the end-message/press-release seemed to come out as
"don't listen to cyclists, they're mental", which is not what the
presentations seemed to say.
It's not like there is a saturation of this type of research; you can
list most of the UK-focused qualitative papers and authors on a large
napkin. Or a jiscmail list.
