Greetings to everyone!

The submissions deadlines for iConference 2012 are fast approaching,
with papers due Monday, Sept. 12. Make plans to put the finishing
touches on your paper and deliver it on our secure submissions website:
http://bit.ly/iconf12sub.

Workshop and AE proposals are due Monday, Sept. 19, and the deadline for
Poster abstracts is Monday, Sept. 26.

The 2012 iConference will be our seventh annual gathering of scholars,
researchers, and professionals who share an interest in the critical
information issues of contemporary society. The conference willpush the
boundaries of information studies, explore core concepts and ideas, and
create new technological and conceptual configurations. The four-day
event takes place in downtown Toronto, February 7-10, 2012. The
conference theme is: Culture * Design * Society.

Authors and organizers can now submit papers, poster abstracts,
alternative events proposals, and workshop proposals using our secure
submissions website: http://bit.ly/iconf12sub. All submitting authors
must provide basic information and agree to copyright parameters as a
condition of acceptance and publication.Papers and poster abstracts will
be published in the ACM Digital Library.

In addition, a Doctoral Student Colloquium is being organized, with
funding from the National Science Foundation. Applications for the
colloquium are due by Friday, Sept. 30. Learn more at
http://www.ischools.org/iConference12/doctoral/. A Junior Faculty &
Postdoc Colloquium is also in the works.

The iConference series is sponsored by the iSchools, a growing
association of more than 30 Schools, Faculties and Colleges in North
America, Europe and Asia—however, affiliation with the iSchools is not a
prerequisite, and we encourage everyone to participate. Presenting
sponsors of iConference 2012 include NSF and Microsoft Research.
