Jon,
We also use Netloan and a mixture of thin clients and pc's. Our users
can use usb sticks on the thin client terminals and the only real
restriction we have come across is poorer quality flash video.
On the plus side the thin clients are lot easier to keep up-to-date with
the latest web plugins etc, so things like ancestry work a lot better.
regards
Alan

Good Afternoon Kirsty,
We currently use Netloan v4.3 on a thin client terminal citrix based
platform alongside standard PC'S. We have found that this solution is
not ideal as it has limitations with regards to what our customers can
do. E.G. our customers can only download to floppy disk and not Pen
Drives, USB Memory Sticks etc and cannot connect any device which is USB
due to restrictions on such devices.
We are in the process of gradually replacing all of our PN equipment
with PC's which offer our customers more functionality.
Hope this helps.

Apologies for cross-posting....
Hampshire is currently developing a new solution for public internet
access in libraries and as part of this we expect to replace the session
management system (we currently use Pharos). We want to identify what is
out there - iCAM, Netloan and iTS's MyPC we already know about but is
anyone using anything else?
We are probably going to be using a thin-client, terminal Citrix-based
solution but at the moment just knowing the full range of
session-management systems would be useful.

Kirsty
