Information Services is a University wide department that manages and makes accessible all types of information – academic and administrative - and assists all staff and students in their use of this information through the provision of Libraries, IT Services and Business Systems.
You will assist in the development, delivery and exploitation of the Library Management System (LMS) and related technologies, and support the development of innovative solutions to resource discovery and communication, including the application of web technologies. You will lead the process of statistic gathering for the LMS as well as liaising on the production of KPIs.
With either a degree in any subject plus a postgraduate qualification, or a degree in Library & Information Studies or equivalent, you will have experience of supporting an LMS including RFID and self-service. It is essential that you have experience of Resource Discovery Systems and web authoring and experience of FTP, Unix plus scripting and Marc record structures is desirable.
