Dear Sir/Madame,
The League of Arab States (LAS) and the International Organization for
Migration (IOM) are preparing a study to enhance more knowledge about
the role of Arab expatriates in promoting positive contributions to
socio-economic development and political transitions in their homelands.
Interested applicants are invited to send their abstracts (500 words
maximum) to Mrs. Samiha Mohei Eldine [log in to unmask] and Ms. Reham
Hussain [log in to unmask] no later than 15 September 2011. Applicants
should also submit their CV along with the abstract. Up to ten abstracts
will be selected by a committee composed by the League of Arab States
(LAS) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM). Selected
authors will be contacted no later than 15 October 2011.
Final research papers are expected to be submitted no later than 15
December 2011 for peer review. Authors will be expected to edit the
paper according to the recommendations of the reviewing committee. LAS
and IOM will present the researcher with a financial reward of US$ 1,500
after the submission and approval of the final version of the research.
