Hi, that will interesting to see how the courts/tribunal decide! I'm not
aware of courts generally applying a law as it was intended rather than as
written!
On your actual question about company equipment this would mean that
technically it applies to things like intranets but in reality I wonder who
is going to care? That is unless a company is doing something such a as
covert staff monitoring via cookies.

My apologies. I've now been told that the Ministry of Justice has already
owned up to a drafting error. Para. 3(A) should refer to users as well as
subscribers.
Apparently the legislation is taken to mean what it was supposed to mean,
not what it actually says.
