Lecturer in Biostatistics

Applications are invited for a position of Lecturer in Biostatistics
within the Institute of Fundamental Sciences in the College of
Sciences at Massey University in Palmerston North, New
Zealand. Candidates with an interest in statistical modeling of
animal disease are particularly encouraged to apply.
The Institute of Fundamental Sciences is a multi-disciplinary
research and teaching Institute. It incorporates groups in
Chemistry & Biophysics; Mathematics & Mathematical
Physics; and Statistics & Bioinformatics. For information on

The Institute has strong links with other units within the
College of Science, including the Infectious Diseases Research
Centre (IDReC) and the Institute of Veterinary and Biomedical
Sciences (which incorporates New Zealand’s only tertiary
level veterinary school).
Palmerston North is the fourth largest city on New Zealand's
North Island. It has the wealth of facilities you would expect
to find in a major city, yet it is compact, friendly and accessible.
Real estate in the city is very affordable: the median house
price is between three and four times a lecturer's salary.
