Hello BUGS-Users,
I am totally new to this mailing list, as somebody recommended BUGS as a probable solution
to my statistical problem. I am student in Berlin working in the field of fish ecology.
Maybe you can give me some little help with my problem:
My case:
I've got following parameters:
* dependent Y: movement distance in meters
* independent X1: Fish length in mm
* independent X2a: minimum study duration
* independent X2b: maximum study duration
So in my case is X2 not always fixed to one value, it is more a interval between X2a and X2b where
the real value is somewhere between max and min (uniform distribution). In some cases the real value
is know, so that X2a=X2b.
So how can these parameters be used in a linear regression model?
The ideal thing would be:
lm(Y~X1+X2)) but how to use the interval? Is this a case for BUGS?
Or how would you do that? Maybe you can give you also know how to do that in R(BUGS)
Thank you very much!
best regards
Johannes Radinger
