Helen,
At this time, sorry, but the building block is not publicly available. That's a scenario that *may* change but requires further internal dialogue at my institution. If a decision is made that the building block can be shared, I'll definitely be announcing that change to you and others who have expressed an interest in it. For reference, the building block is definitely 9.1-compatible - we just upgraded to 9.1 SP4 last month.
All the best,
Trav.

Travis,
This sounds really useful. Can I ask, a) is this publicly available, and if so, b) is there a version available for Blackboard9.1?

Joyce,
I agree with you that it seems very odd for Bb to not deliver that functionality. We were previously on Bb8 with Batch GE Group Manager and our user community couldn't deal without a group management tool so we built our own building block. Since self-enrol groups are also a type of group, we can use the same tool to obtain a single downloadable CSV file with all the group memberships throughout the course. You can see it in action at http://www.lms.unimelb.edu.au/animations/group_agm.html (YouTube walkthrough), or pages 8-9 of http://www.lms.unimelb.edu.au/user_guides/groups_guide.pdf (PDF guide) if you're interested in how we tackled it.
All the best,
Trav.
