Hi everyone
Thank you to everyone who responded for all the useful tips and advice. Here is a summary of the suggestions I received from both repositories and from personal experience:
Repositories:
1. A scanner can be used in conjunction in Adobe Photoshop software to scan at 1200 dpi.
2. A scanner with a transparency setting works, but possibly not to as high a resolution as desired.
3. A flat-bed scanner with a light-box attached.
List of gadgets respondants had personal experience of:
1. Negative and slide scanner from Pandigital.
2. Canon CanoScan 9000F.
3. Epson V750 Pro.
4. Epson F-3200.
Depending on your needs, and the sizes of the negatives, some of these products are more appropriate than others, so it is worthwhile reading reviews and specifications online.
I hope this is of some help to some of you, and thanks again to everyone who responded.
Kind regards
Aisling Keane
