Calling all working in public libraries!
On 5th July we posted a request to this list for members to complete a short survey (please see below). At the same time we also posted the same request to a number of other LIS lists. We've been checking the completed surveys and have noticed that *public librarians are currently under-represented in responses*. We would be extremely grateful if you could spare a few minutes to answer the survey questions at http://bit.ly/RiLIES2. With your contribution we will learn more about the impact and value of library and information science research to practitioners across a range of sectors.
With many thanks in anticipation
Jenny Gebel, Library and Information Science Research Coalition projects intern
We are carrying out an online survey as the final part of the LIS Research Coalition RiLIES project. It is aimed at Library and Information Science (LIS) practitioners who are based in the UK and its purpose is to help confirm some of our findings on the relationship between research results and their impact on practitioners.
You can access the survey by visiting: http://bit.ly/RiLIES2
It should take about 15 minutes to complete and we would appreciate it if you could complete it by 15 July. If you live in another country, or are an LIS researcher or student, we would still be interested in your answers.
Please forward this invitation to your colleagues.
Kind regards and thanks in anticipation
