Dear Nathalie,
I'm not sure why you can't use the vertex analysis result from FIRST
as this will show you changes in the subcortical structures. If you
wanted the results mapped back into a volume, to be put on top of
the FSL-VBM results in the cortex, then that is also possible. I would
expect that this method would be more sensitive than trying to retro-fit
FIRST results into the FSL-VBM pipeline.
All the best,
Mark

Therefore, we are wondering if there is a way to take the segmented subcortical areas from FIRST and use them to do FSL-VBM considering the fact that FSL-VBM does not do a good job in segmenting subcortical areas. Or could we improve the subcortical segmentation using another software tool?
