I'm guessing you are trying to import based on the results of new
segment. That doesn't work because the seg8 files are a different
format. The intended way of generating the imported files is via the
new segment ui itself. There are options to generate imported tissue
class data (within the native space output options).
The import option of Dartel only works for the output of the older
unified segment.
