One KX is a Centre of Excellence for young people to connect, collaborate and create through the Arts, Science and Technology.
The General Manager plays a pivotal role in the administration and smooth running of an exciting and diverse Centre at the heart of the King's Cross community. You will support the practical realisation of the Creative Director's vision, acting as his deputy and contributing to the design and implementation of a strategic plan. We are looking for an outstanding project manager with the ability to lead and motivate a newly formed staff team while delivering high-profile creative projects including the Theatre of Debate: A Five Year Conversation, funded through a £1 million grant from the Wellcome Trust.
We are looking for a pro-active individual who can identify commercial opportunities, negotiate and maintain relationships with external partners, while overseeing the effective administration and development of the Centre.
You will have significant experience of project management in the arts along with excellent people management and organisational skills. As budgeting and commercial awareness will be key requirements of this position, you will also need proven financial management ability and knowledge of business planning processes, preferably in an arts- related context. As an advocate for OneKX and Central YMCA, you will also have outstanding negotiating, influencing and communication skills to build and sustain positive, long-term partnerships with the community as well as local and national institutions.
It goes without saying that an interest in working with young people, the arts and digital media is essential to be considered for this role.

We are looking for a Development Manager to be responsible for the fundraising for a range of exciting projects and core costs. You will work collaboratively to identify potential projects to raise money for and identify external fundraising opportunities to develop, as well as contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of the Centre's fundraising strategy.
You will identify potential trusts and foundations to support the operation's work; create and develop an individual supporters' scheme for the operation, in particular, around the Theatre of Debate: A Five Year Conversation; and develop, maintain and implement an effective legacies programme.
We are looking for people with proven experience of: income generation; writing successful Trust and Foundation applications; working to financial/income targets and experience managing long-term relationships with major and corporate sponsors.
