Good afternoon. I have an employee who lost his driving licence 5 years ago on health grounds following a stroke which left him blind in one eye. He has fully recovered from the stroke but remains blind in the eye. His sight is perfect in the other eye. I have suggested that he asks the DVLA what to do in order to get his licence back as it does not appear blindness in one eye alone should stop him from driving (according to DVLA At a Glance). He works in stores and was also at the time stopped from operating a fork lift truck. If the DVLA returns his licence what are your views for him returning to fork lift truck duties please.
