Gentrification in the Netherlands: a process of change and a changing process
On Friday 18 November, the Urban and Regional Research Centre Utrecht
(URU) will organise a one day conference on gentrification in the
Netherlands at Utrecht University. This one-day event will bring together
researchers and students for an opportunity to present their work, learn
about contemporary Dutch gentrification and meet new colleagues from other
universities. It will be a particularly good opportunity for young
scholars to present their work.
Keynote addresses will be given by:
Welcome by Prof. dr. Ronald van Kempen, dean of the Faculty of
Geosciences, Utrecht University
Prof. dr. Jan van Weesep, Utrecht University
Dr. Lia Karsten, University of Amsterdam
Call for papers:
We are looking for presentations focusing on all aspects of contemporary
gentrification. International comparisons are always welcome. Those
wishing to present their work should include a title and abstract of their
papers when registering.
Time: Friday 18 November 1000 - 1630 (reception to follow)
Location: Utrecht University, van Unnik Building, Heidelberglaan 2, Utrecht
This event is free, but spaces are limited. The deadline for registering
is 30 September, 2011.
