The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), an Executive Agency of the Department of Health, is responsible for enhancing and safeguarding the health of the public by ensuring that medicines and medical devices work, and are acceptably safe.
Working for the MHRA, the UK medicines regulator, pharmacoepidemiologists are required to provide dedicated statistical support for pharmacovigilance/drug safety assessment activities and to carry out original research to provide information on drug safety issues and to audit the impact of regulatory action.
Applicants for this post will have a degree or postgraduate qualification in statistics or epidemiology with experience of statistical work relating to the design and analysis of observational studies and proven experience in data management and analysis of large datasets.
