Fixed term for 12 months
Leeds University Library’s Special Collections are amongst the most important in UK university libraries, with outstanding English literary collections. A central aim will be to develop innovative online resources for teaching and other promotional purposes based on literary manuscripts and archives. You will also assist in improving access to the literary collections by undertaking manuscript and archival cataloguing and will contribute to the wider work of Special Collections, particularly from an English literary perspective.
Educated to degree level with a professional library/archival qualification or substantial experience, you will have excellent knowledge of manuscript and archival cataloguing standards and formats. You will be a proficient user of IT, with an approach that is both methodical and creative, and, with excellent interpersonal skills, you will confidently engage with Library and academic colleagues and with Library users. An understanding of the educational and promotional potential of literary manuscripts and archives would be desirable.
University Grade 7 (£29,972 - £35,788 p.a)
