Our client a healthcare-focused primary research and consulting company is currently seeking a Group Director based just out side London on the South of the river. Easy access from Victoria, Waterloo, London Bridge, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire.
JOB ROLE:
The individual will have a strong quantitative methodological background and will work in a consultative capacity, providing advice on the design, analysis and interpretation of quantitative research with a view to providing insightful direction to key business questions. In addition you will work with a dedicated market research team to ensure the planning, briefing, analysis, report writing and presentation for healthcare market research projects, in particular advanced quantitative methodologies.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES include:
• Providing advice on the design, analysis and interpretation of quantitative research
• Managing staff to ensure project deadlines are met
• Writing proposals and make presentations to clients
• Building professional relationships with clients, healthcare division executives, support staff, coding professionals, fieldwork and research associations where appropriate
• Responsible, along with others, for generating business and delivering results
• Responsible for supporting advanced quantitative methodologies on specific key accounts
• Liaising directly with client teams and clients, acting in a consultancy role and advising on best practice and providing appropriate solutions for business issues
• Executing the business plan and ensure that you work to that agreed plan
• Responsible for attracting new clients to the organisation and penetrating into new areas (e.g. therapy franchises) of the more established clients
• Liaising closely with clients through meetings, account development and new business development activities
• Ensuring that existing clients continue to enjoy a high level of services that they have come to expect in order to ensure that existing business is renewed
• Promoting the unique services of the company internationally, at congresses and directly when interacting with client contacts
• Managing market research executives within project teams on a day to day
• Writing proposals and calculate costings for ad hoc qualitative and quantitative international studies.
• Attending client presentations, pitching for business and presenting results
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
• Degree/qualifications in Market research, Bio-sciences, Maths/Stats, Pharmacy would be beneficial
• Proven track record in advanced multi-variate methodologies for ad-hoc multi country market research studies to the pharmaceutical industry
• Experience of bridging the gap between statistics and insights
• Good working knowledge of other statistical packages, such as SPSS or SAS
• Experience working in a pharmaceutical market research agency/company as a traditional market researcher or marketer
• Experience writing and developing proposals with full costings
• A good understanding of the global Healthcare and Pharmaceutical industry.
• Commercial acumen
• Team management experience
PERSONAL SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
• IT proficient including good Excel worksheets functions, macros and potentially visual basic skills
• Excellent client service and relationship building skills
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with good client presentation skills and experience in presenting to high level audiences
• Availability for travel if needed within Europe and possibly the USA
