The position will be based at the Division of Cognitive and Motor
Aging in the Department of Neurology at Albert Einstein College of
Medicine.
We are currently recruiting a post-doctoral fellow interested in
carrying out combined fMRI/DTI/structural MRI studies as part of a
longitudinal cohort study that is designed to identify cognitive
abilities and brain structures and functional networks that predict
mobility decline and disability in older adults. The fellow will work
as part of a multidisciplinary team, integrating the findings of a
broad spectrum of approaches.
The neuroimaging studies will be conducted at the Gruss Magnetic
Resonance Research Center (MRRC), a 19,000-square-foot facility on the
main (Resnick) campus of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of
Yeshiva University. The MRRC has the most state-of-the-art imaging
equipment, including the first Philips 3T TX MRI system to be
installed in the United States, a completely renovated Varian 9.4T MRI
magnet for animal imaging, cluster computing infrastructure for
faculty, staff, students, and visiting researchers. The fellow will
have opportunities to learn from and interact with MRRC faculty and
researchers.
Candidates are sought with a doctorate in engineering, computer
science, mathematics, neuroscience, or related fields, research
experience in neuroimaging (fMRI/DTI/structural MRI), programming
skills in MatLab, C/C++, and working knowledge of UNIX/LINUX
environments.
