On balance, I would go for a course which is NMC validated, but choose your
course with care. Look at what is incorporated within it and how much OH
specific material is included in the curriculum.
Some employers will only recruit people who are RSCPHN despite there being
currently no requirement to have registration as a SCPHN but that could
change. There again, there is always the chance that OHN courses may come
off the SCPHN register and be registered on a register for Advanced
Practice. Who knows?
