Can I just add that if you are finding it difficult to access the
Mantoux rulers, wound measuring disposable rulers as well as those used
to measure for anti-embolic stockings are a useful alternative! I picked
up a whole pack of these from the the Flowtron stand at a recent
conference I attended so they can be free of charge into the bargain! I
checked with a specialist TB consultant and he suggests there is no
difference between these measuring devices and the actual Mantoux
rulers.
Worth knowing!

Please find attached the stuff I downloaded from the SSI site on Mantoux
administration - excellent.

Also if you are looking for those special hard to come by Mantoux
reading rulers, I found their contact person very helpful. He dispatched
me 5 within 2 days of asking!!! go to their website for details.

My staff think I am a genius as they have been wanting them for years.

regards
Sue

It may be worth contacting your local NHS hospital's Chest Clinic This
would provide a practical placement learning

Some NHS Health Promotion/ Community Communicable Diseases Unit offer
training also There are training DVDs on the topic Another option is
Asylym Seeker Health services - may offer a practical placement option

Good luck
