Hi Matts
Thanks for the info. I will also pass on to Ross Gardler, as he is now
a mentor for this Incubator proposal [1]. Do keep me in the loop.
I do think we should add someone from the a11y space to the initial
list of contributors so do you folks have any nominations? Pete Brunet
comes to mind, if he is willing.
Perhaps I am being simplistic but the OOo base appears to be the core
codebase and LO, Symphany etc are derivations. Obviously the politics
are more complex, but getting into OOo under Apache will allow
adoption into others, if they choose to use it. Finally getting IA2
into OOo would be fantastic for all a11y users (and I suppose,
testers).
With Regards to CCF , that is great and pleased to see it maturing. If
it is available for the a11yhack event on 21 Jul I can introduce it.
I'm very interested in links to Straight Street Mulberry symbols and
API. Plus there are potential links with W3C widgets via Apache Wookie
(Incubating) and Rave (Incubating) and we're working on a project in
this space. There are a couple of symbol ideas on realisepotential.com
and you might like to add your thoughts there (we're running a
workshop today).
