Its 50 years since the Club was officially formed the founder members were a
lose set of individuals who visited mines and caves in the late 50s but as
time went on they deiced to form an official group then called the
Shropshire Ming Club. This came about as access permits were needed for a
number of sites and the formation of the Ironbridge Museums meant that the
club could interact with official bodies and make things happen.
To celebrate the 50th Anniversary we chose to run the NAHMO conference this
year . Apart from a couple celebratory items in the delegate pack we will
also offer delegate the opportunity to join us for a free evening meal on
Sunday July 31st- I would advise that we only have a few tickets left and
would urge you to get your bookings in soon if you would like to join in
http://www.namhoconference.org.uk/2011/front.htm
I will remind you we also have a day rate delegate offer for those who can't
make a whole weekend
