This grey screen and changing the IP address are new to me, we've been more or less ok today, but have had innumerable problems with AAT exams this year.
Every new unit run has had problems with freezing screens etc. AAT will not admit they are at fault. I did receive a credit note last week, for fees for January exams, it came out of the blue with no explanation until I queried it.
Our latest reply was for an exam run on 29th March and they told us we were running an out of date version of flash player as per their minimum spec, despite the spec only changing the day before, needless to say they had a very terse response to that one.
I have also written to the CEO to complain, as a coleague has previously. I await a response to their promised investigation.
I can say we have at least a dozen fault reports logged with at least 3 or 4 students affected each time, most times we just get a 'this report is closed' response after several weeks of silence.
We have a large number of AAT students and have had to provide free re-sits to those students affected by the problems, following a string of complaints.
Interesting to hear they didn't bother piloting the system, probably explains why there are so many problems. MY techs and I think the initial faults are caused by scripting errors which are then corrected following fault reports, it's the only reason we can think of to explain why the freezes happen when students are trying to go backwards or forwards to check answers etc. Do other techs think the same?
Very poor / none existent communication, for a Professional Organisation they aren't very professional.
