According to the Press briefing (attached)  at the time the contract was awarded, no data would leave the UK at any time, which suggests it was 'liberated' from UK servers.

It appears that they have just arrested one of "lulzsec" in Essex, although

on a different matter (SOCA) -

giving firm assurances to the ONS re security, confidentiality etc.

If this is true then the ramifications are huge. It would be interesting

to know which server they were "liberated" from too. Given recent

hacking of games databases and now this, I think it will (if true) have

the same significance as the HMRC debacle.
