Apologies for cross posting

Northumbria University is accepting applications for its distance learning MSc Information and Records Management starting in September 2011. Recently renamed to better reflect its breadth of content and changes such as the names of professional bodies (IRMS http://www.irms.org.uk/ and RIM Professionals Australasia http://www.rimpa.com.au/) it offers a range of qualifications. You can enrol onto the PG Diploma (18months) or the MSc (2 years) or onto single modules. This means it is flexible to meet the needs of part-time learners and is ideal for gaining Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits.

Modules include: recordkeeping principles; recordkeeping practice; e-recordkeeping; management; data, law and ethics. Current and previous graduates work in a wide range of jobs e.g. as Records & Information Managers, Information Governance and Compliance Officers, Knowledge Managers, Information Officers, CIOs and SIROs, Document Managers and Information Systems specialists.

For more details about the programme, comments from graduates and the online application form visit http://www.northumbria.ac.uk/?view=CourseDetail&code=DTPIRM6 If you do want to find out more about studying at Northumbria University then please do not hesitate to get in touch with either Prof. Julie McLeod ([log in to unmask] Tel: +44 (0) 191 227 3764) or Elizabeth Lomas ([log in to unmask] Tel: +44 (0)794 6614882). The MSc fees (UK/Europe) are currently £3240 per year (pro rata for single modules/PG Dip). The application deadline is 31 Aug for a September 2011 start.
